June 9th 1930 - April 23rd 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing at Springdale Country Manor (Peterborough) on Sunday April 23rd 2023 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Robert Glover. Predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Margaret Tonkin, as well as her brothers, Gordon (Lillian) and Leo (infant) and sisters, Marguerite Tait (George) and Hilda (infant). Survived by her brother, David (Helen). Beloved mother of Deborah Simpson (Tom), Dale Glover (Wanda), and Jill Sandison (Peter). Remembered with love by her grandchildren, Colin, Kelly (Stephanie), Kyle (Katrina), Kelsey (Johnnie), and Adam. Great grandchildren, Hope, Kane, Faith, Jai, Christopher, Casey, Aleah, Olivia, and Carter. Remembered fondly and lovingly by her 10 nieces and nephews and their families. Barb was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandma, and great grandma. Her whole life was dedicated to her family and she will be sadly missed. The family wishes to thank the wonderful caring staff at Springdale Country Manor (Peterborough) where she spent her last few years happily in their care. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date. In memory of Barb, in lieu of flowers, donations to The Arthritis Society of Canada or St. Paul’s United Church - 178 Church Street Bowmanville, (905-623-7361) would be appreciated by the family.
