Obituary for Clare Fitzgerald
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Clare Fitzgerald, in his 83rd year, on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Sharron (nee Pearson) and dog Muffin. Devoted father of Shawn, Tina Jenkins and Scott (Lynne) and beloved Poppa of Troy and Kristina. Cherished son of the late Charlie and Haddie Fitzgerald. Younger brother of the late Arleigh Slanina (husband Paul) of Kitimat, B.C. Clare will be fondly remembered by sister-in-law Gwen Young (Pearson) and many nieces, nephews and longtime friends.
Clare had a lengthy business career rising through the ranks in the financial industry and retiring as a Senior V.P. During these years he nurtured, inspired and developed countless lasting relationships which he valued immensely.
The family would like to send their deep thanks to everyone at P.R.H.C. Unit B6, as well as the Emergency Dept. team for their compassionate care of our father. If desired, the family asks donations in Clare’s memory be made to the P.R.H.C. Foundation Frontline Staff if possible.
