Obituary

ELLIS, Cheryl Audrey (formerly Vecchiarelli) - Passed away peacefully at Hospice, Peterborough, with her family at her side, on Thursday, September 24 2020. Cheryl of Peterborough, formerly of Oshawa, Toronto and Kapuskasing was 71 years of age.
Loving mother of Carmela Nicoletti (John), John Vecchiarelli (late Krystal McCulloch), Frank Vecchiarelli (Kelly) and Rosa Vecchiarelli (Erich Kohler). Proud grandmother of Alyssa, Spencer, Nastazia, Tyler and Maya and Great-grandmother of Reid, Mirajane, Angelo and Amelia.
Dear sister of Lynn, Louise, Frank, Mario, Crystal, and John. Daughter of Sophia Tancredi and the late Neil Ellis. Cheryl will be remembered by many other relatives and friends.
Cheryl was a free spirit who enjoyed helping others. She earned awards for her volunteer work manning a suicide hotline. She was most known for her twisted and dry sense of humour and for being a 'foodie'. She enjoyed watching cooking shows of all sorts and learning to be a fantastic cook. She also had a knack for driving her children crazy.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough, on Saturday, October 3rd at 2 pm with visiting one half an hour prior (1:30 - 2). DUE TO COVID 19 REGULATIONS, REGISTRATION FOR VISITATION AND SERVICE IS REQUIRED and you may RSVP on Cheryl’s obituary page at www.AshburnhamFuneral.ca or by calling 705-740-0444. If desired, donations may be made to Hospice Peterborough.
