Cindy Lidkea, nee Rusk passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer at Hospice Peterborough.
Cindy was the loving wife of John Lidkea, mother of Cameron (Lori), Trevor (Jodie), and Brandon (Katelyn). Greatest Nana to Hannah, Dezirae, Jordan, Rylinn, Jace, Cambri and Bryson. Daughter of Myrtle Rusk; predeceased by Walter Rusk and the late step father Ray Dale. Dear sister of Carelyn (Basil), Cameron (Donna) and Christeen (Garret); nieces and nephews.
Cindy’s passing isn’t what everyone is going to remember her for. The memories of Cindy are going to be; the passion she had in gardening, her strong-willed personality, those hot summer days by the pool with a beer enjoying her best days, and the strong relationships she preserved with friends and family. The physical presence of Cindy may be gone, her energy though, will always be present through the flowers in your garden, the plants in your home, and memories everyone shares!
A Celebration of life will be held at Lakefield Legion, 10 Nicholls St, Lakefield, on April 8, 2023, from 2pm - 5pm. Please come and share some memories and spend some time with family and friends. Cindy would be so appreciative to see the social interaction of close and distant loved ones!
You will be missed, but never forgotten!
