Obituary for David Wall
WALL, David
David Wall (1953-2022), son of Amos and Daphne Wall, brother of Greg and Tom Wall, devoted father to Candice, Greg, and Brittanie (Walker-Reid), and loving husband and soulmate to Michelle (Bissonnette-Bondy), passed away suddenly on October 26, 2022.
Dave will be missed for his constant troublemaking, colourful opinions and catch-phrases, frequent hospital visits, unique views on immigration, and unrelenting bad-assery. He is survived by his wife, children, brother, niece and nephew, a rough and tumble group of friends, and his houseful of treasures (most of which he found on the side of the road). Dave spent most of his working life in the Local 700 lronworkers 'climbing the iron' without a harness, living on the edge. In his retirement, Dave spent countless hours puttering in the garage and riding his motorcycle, putting to good use his inability to read a map - "we're not lost", as Dave would say.
Dave lived in his heart. He loved deeply and felt passionately about people and places. Many were touched by his random acts of kindness and affections. He was a hopeless romantic, moved by music, the arts, and emotion and was always working undercover to brighten someone else's day. Life for Dave was full of highs and lows and he surfed the waves with abandon as only those who fully embrace the moment can do.
