POLLOCK: Debbie Faye
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Debbie Faye Pollock (nee: Brown) at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on January 30th, 2023. Beloved oldest daughter of Faye Brown (pre-deceased by her father John Brown). Cherished wife of Mark Pollock for 41 years. Much-loved mother of Sarah (Brian) Harvey and Natalie (Steven) Slavik. Treasured grandmother (Nanny) of David and Caitlyn Harvey. Dear sister of Susan Brown (Rick), Sharon Brown and John (Rowena) Brown. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Debbie will be remembered as a kind and caring person who made friends easily and had a ready smile for anyone. She loved animals, with cats at home and often made friends with the neighbourhood dogs. If she saw a stray, she would make sure it was returned to its home. She had a lifelong interest in sports and focused on being the best she could at anything that sparked her interest, whether field hockey, broomball, racquetball, running, bicycling and curling which she loved. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 13th from 1-4 pm at the Peterborough Curling Club at 2195 Lansdowne St, Peterborough. Donations to the Peterborough Humane Society in Debbie’s memory (https://peterboroughhumanesociety.ca) would be appreciated.
