CORDELL: Dr. Dina
Suddenly on Monday, January 16th, 2023, at the PRHC after a brief illness in her 75th year. Dina, dearly beloved wife of Dr. Don Cordell and loving sister of Rino (Laraine) Scanzoni. Cherished daughter of the late Gemma and Adolfo Scanzoni. Dina received her Master’s Degree and Doctorate from the University of Toronto and was an Educator at several Peterborough area elementary schools, most recently as Principal at King George and Young’s Point Schools. She served as a Board Member of Friends of Honduran Children and was involved with Teacher’s for Kids Charity. Dina was a curriculum leader for Peterborough County and the Province of Ontario, and worked on the education committee of Retired Teachers of Ontario. A Celebration of Dina’s Life will be held at a later date. If desired, donations to Friends of Honduran Children, Teachers for Kids, or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
