Suddenly passed away due to complications from Covid 19 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre in his 89th year. Devoted husband for 64 years to Gwen. Loving father to Nancy (David), Jim, and Jane (Arnie). Cherished grandfather to Steve (Nicole), Brian (Jessica), Jason (Bryanna), Michael (Robyn), Emily (Cole), Allison (Kyle) and Julia. Great grandfather to Wyatt, Chase, Harper, George, and another baby Davidson set to arrive in August 2021. Beloved son to the late Charles and Laura Foster. Dear brother to Joan Brown (the late Mel) the late Marjorie (Bill) Hutchinson, and the late Marion (Gerry) Ackford.

Don was a successful self-employed businessman who bought the D C Foster Delivery and Cartage company from his father and then Don sold it in the early Nineties. Don loved spending time with his family up at the cottage on Stoney Lake and he loved their skiing holidays in Quebec. He was an avid bridge player and loved playing and watching many sports. He was a member of the Northminster United Church and an honored Mason.
