Richard Elizabeth Jean (Nee Davison)
Born: September 27/36 - January 16/21
Passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 16/21 at Peterborough hospital at the age of 84, due to a heart attack and stroke. Jean who had a love of travel and adventure, as well as participating in us civil war reenactments, left life too soon. She was a kind hearted soul and always quick with a laugh and smile and was cherished by all.

She was a loving wife to Jerry Richard for 59 years. A beloved mother to two daughters Tammy Torgyik and Rhonda Richard. Jean was a very loving nanny to her grandchildren, Chantelle English, Grayson Torgyik and Steele Torgyik. A great grandmother to Autumn Price.

Jean moved to Canada in 1955 from Ireland with her family, father Joseph Davison, mother Eileen Friar, sisters Rita Harrison, Phyliss Lloyd and brother Reggie Davison to start a new adventure. Jeans life adventures sadly ended Saturday, January 16th 2021 and will be taking on a new life in heaven as our guardian angel. Rest in peace go with god. We love and miss and you will forever be in our hearts,

We will be holding a celebration of life at a later date to be announced in lieu flowers, donations can be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so very much, my Mom would have loved this. She loved flowers and preferred potted instead of cut so she could watch them grow and thrive, this was so kind a gesture to her

I did meet Jean and Jerry re-enacting back in the 80's. Praise God, I have just in the last year or so re-connected with my Christian brother Jerry. I am very saddened to learn of Jean's passing. I pray that the Holy Spirit comforts my brother during this terrible time of separation, but as believers, both Jerry and I know, Jean is walking those golden steps of glory with her loving Saviour Jesus Christ. We were going to meet up down here in Western PA, but God had other plans. Jerry will still come, but we'll all see each other including our Jean again very soon. Hallelujah for the Hope we have by serving Jesus Christ.

At Alice's 90th in Oshawa a few years back I noticed mon oncle Jerry mingling on his own and asked him (and later on other people), if Jean had come. Everybody kept pointing to a table of some female cousins. Eventually wandering over to that table I asked Tammy & Rhonda where their mom was. They exchanged a really odd look then glanced at the lady with the pixie cut sitting right next to them. Yes, it was matante Jean who for the last hour I'd assumed was possibly an older cousin not well known to me. An awkward moment became quite a very cute moment that made Jean smile and bring a blush to her lovely face.

We love you matante...
