Obituary for Helen Knowlton (Pfeiffer)

Helen Elizabeth Knowlton

September 10, 1931 – August 18, 2022

Helen Elizabeth Knowlton (nee Pfeiffer) died peacefully just shy of her 91st birthday

Affectionately known as “Grummie” or “Piffy” by her children, their spouses, grandchildren, and friends, she abundantly spread her support, generosity, love, and enthusiasm. She will be dearly missed and is survived by her three children Rob (Julia), Joanne, and Heather (Andy Wasson) from her first marriage to John Wallace and her grandkids Adam (Teresa), John (Lisa), Meg (Derek), William (Sam), Jeanne, Connor, Bryce, Sophia, and by great grandchildren Eli and Sophie Lee.

She is also survived by the children of her second husband Jim Knowlton, Robert (Sandra), Joanne (Jim) and Mike (Lyn) and their children Tristan, Shelby, Brett and Mackenzie

Helen was born into a family of painters, sculptors, actors, musicians, and singers. Growing up in Quebec City and Montreal “Piff” came by her artistic talents as an actor, and ceramic sculptor honestly.

Many of her treasured years were spent at Lake Memphremagog in Quebec’s Eastern Townships with her family. She loved sitting on the porch playing scrabble, a gin and tonic in hand, laughing about life with her good friend Muffy. She had fun celebrating special occasions and had no problem being the life of the party!

Helen’s family wish to thank all the caring staff at Springdale Country Manor. In memory of Helen, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario at Alzheimer.ca Condolences can be made on -line by visiting www.AshburnhamFuneral.ca
