Obituary for Janice Bisset (McLennan)

JANICE EDITH BISSET
1929-2021

Janice passed peacefully in her sleep in Peterborough on January 6, 2021. She is predeceased by her husband, Douglas (2011). Dearly beloved by children: Joanne (Paul), Joyce (Jeff), Douglas (Tammy); grandchildren: Elizabeth, Laura (Tobiko), Adam (Sarah), Deanna (Matthew), Mariah (Cole), Tristen (Kane), Tarin and great-grandchildren: Logan, Brooke, Liam, Mackenzie, Kolton.

Janice was an avid curler and golfer. She was active in the church in whichever city she lived – Guelph, Sarnia, Edmonton, Toronto, Calgary, Thornhill, Richmond Hill. She volunteered at The Canadian Cancer Society for over 50 years and was the ‘Daffodil Queen’ of North York! One of the highlights of her life was volunteering at the Calgary Olympics and another was receiving the Queen’s Jubilee Medal.

Our deepest thanks to the staff of Canterbury Gardens, Peterborough for the wonderful care they provided to her during her stay with them.

Memorial Service to be held at a later date. Donations may be made to either the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Society (Peterborough). Online condolences may be left at AshburnhamFuneral.ca
