Obituary for Jocelyn Kervin

KERVIN, Jocelyn Elizabeth
June 8, 1975 - February 5, 2024

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our daughter, Jocelyn, after a valiant and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma cancer. Jocelyn was the daughter of Ron and Debbie Kervin, Peterborough; sister of Dave (Ali) Kervin, Peterborough; and Aunt of Landris Kervin (Emma) and Josh, Peterborough. She is survived by Uncles Don (Kaye) Kervin, Bill (Linda) Kervin; and predeceased by her Uncle Ivan Terris and Aunt Starr Terris. Jocelyn was predeceased by her grandparents Gerald and Jean Terris and James and Dorothy Kervin of New Brunswick. She will be missed by her cousins John (Tiffany) Terris, Susan (Lee) Branscombe, Devin (Laura) Kervin, Matthew (Melissa) Kervin, and Andrew (Rebecca) Kervin, from the Maritimes (a place Jocelyn saw as a second home and held dear to her heart). Jocelyn was a Music Teacher for most of her 25-year career with the York Region District School Board. Music was Jocelyn's passion all her life, singing in various choirs from an early age to the Amadeus Choir in her later years. She and her Uncle Bill enjoyed the Opera together over the last few years as well. Jocelyn was always committed and dedicated to supporting all activities that her family was involved in. She also loved to travel - Hong Kong (taught 2 summers), Taiwan (taught 2 summers), England, France, Italy, Austria, Bali, United States, and various provinces in Canada from B.C. to Nfld. and Labrador. Jocelyn was involved in numerous groups and associations for music as well as a strong advocate for the Multiple Myeloma Society of Canada. We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses of Princess Margaret Cancer Hospital and the Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital who worked tirelessly to bring comfort and care to our daughter. Donations in memory of Jocelyn can be made to the Multiple Myeloma Society of Canada or a charity of your choice.
