Obituary for John Andrew
John Clifford Andrew passed away in his 81st year at Fairhaven Nursing Home on Thursday December 22, 2022. He was a long-time resident of Peterborough and known to many as Big John.
John retired from Fleming College as head of maintenance where he worked for over 30 years. Throughout his career he added many certificates and diplomas to his wall in addition to driving cab, drywall/painting and above all, providing for his family. He was an avid supporter of Ducks Unlimited and enjoyed both hunting and fishing.
He will be fondly remembered by his children Jeff (Angela) and Jennifer(Jamie) and was a brother to Mary, Helen and David(Donna). Poppa to Stephen (Amanda), Brandon(Lindsay), Jazmin, Kara (Zach), and Travis, and great grandfather to Kylie, Alexa and Lennox. He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews Chad, Virginia, Keevin and Kelsey as Big Uncle John.
A memorial will be held on January 22nd from 1:00-4:00 at the Peterborough Legion.
Interment will take place in the spring.
