1936 — 2022
Passed away peacefully, October 18 at the age of 85 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. John, formerly of Cobourg has resided in Peterborough for many years.
John is predeceased by his first wife, Jean Marie Turner (nee Jones) and his son-in-law, David; Survived by their children, Trudy Amendola (nee Turner) (Bill), Tracy Turner, and Terry Turner. John is predeceased by his second wife Phyllis Lesurf and stepson Steve, and survived by his stepchildren Craig Lesurf (Lisa), Lori Richey (nee Lesurf) (Joe).
John will be missed by his grandchildren, Melissa (Ian), Natalie (Tyler), and his great grandchildren, Johnny, Kinzie and Teddi; Step-grandchildren, Kyle, Travis, Jennifer, and Jason; step-great grandchildren, Lucas, Nathan, and Jaxon.
He will also be missed by Taryna and Tony, Neil and Pauline as well as many other ‘English people’.
John was a nature lover, skier, sailor, golfer, wood carver and world traveler. He also excelled at football and cricket in his youth in England.
A memorial reception will be held at Ashburnham Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough on Saturday, October 22 at 2:00 pm.
Donations to PRHC palliative care unit would be appreciated by the family.
