It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Josepha (Jose) Reid who passed, as she wished, peacefully at her home on September 2, 2023 after battling cancer. Wife of the late Douglas Reid, daughter of the late Peter Kuypers and Connie Kuypers, mother to Joseph Reid (Kim), Teresa Kelly (Glen) and grandmother to Hunter and Harlee Reid, Jeremy and Jacob Kelly, and Hailie Harrington. Jose is survived by her brothers, Matt Kuypers (Delores) and Gerard Kuypers, and her sisters, Mariette Briand (Don), and Francine Antonisse (Guss). Jose will be remembered for her love of children, as she committed a large part of her life to being a foster parent, her unwavering love for her grandchildren, and her hobby of gardening for hours and hours a day. Jose always called her grandkids her angels and now she is all of our angel as we find comfort knowing that she is watching over us. Thank you to her amazing Palliative Doctor, Dr. Lauren Moreli who was a huge part in granting Jose’s wish of passing at her home. Donations in Jose’s honour can be made to the Kawartha Halliburton Children’s Aid Society.
