WHITE, Lorraine May B.A. ECE & Librarian Specialist
Passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Northumberland Hills Hospital on December 18, 2022. Lorraine of Peterborough, formerly of Toronto was 74 years of age.
Beloved mother of Heather Monsma (Mark) and George White (Ashley Aziz). Loving grandmother of Lily, Logan, Lincoln, and Laila. Dear sister of the late George White. Childhood friend and sister-in-law of Sandra P. Hamilton (Jim) and Jim Goode. Favourite aunt of Deborah Lunn and Mark & Christopher White. Lorraine will be remembered by many other relatives and friends.
A retired teacher from the Scarborough, Durham and Peterborough Boards of Education. A long-time member of the Peterborough Temple, Salvation Army. Lorraine enjoyed baking, gardening, reading and loved her pets; loving dog Murphy and loyal cat Rusty. Mom enjoyed sewing and designing clothes, we laugh about the plaid lederhosen. She was a great story teller with a great sense of humour and we will miss her very much.
A Memorial Reception will be held at the Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road, on Wednesday December 28, 2022 from 12-2pm. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association can be made through the funeral home or online at AshburnhamFuneral.ca.
