Irene passed away peacefully into the presence of her Saviour on April 3 rd , 2022, at Riverview Manor.
(Louise) Irene Ferguson (nee Armstrong) born December 25, 1948, to Louisa Clayton and Clifford Armstrong (both pre-deceased).
Irene was a proud mother to Ray Steenburg (Jalayne) and Ed Steenburg (Christine). Irene loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Amber-Rae (Sean), Autumn, Brandon, Tyson, John (Kim) Brittany (Brandon), Wesley, Landon, Spencer and Aria.
Dear sister of Betty Smith (Ken pre-deceased), Fred Armstrong (Ellen), Barb Saunders (Jerry), Tom Armstrong (Shelley), Grace Schoep (Wim), June Todd (Bob) and Colleen Howson (Bruce). Irene will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Irene very much enjoyed crocheting, and puzzle books. She loved social gatherings, seeing her family and playing cards and Yahtzee.
Special thanks to Riverview Manor and the PRHC Dialysis Unit for the wonderful care and comfort they provided for Irene. Donations in Irene’s honor can be made to Riverview Manor or PRHC Foundation.
As Irene wished, the family will be scattering her ashes in the garden of remembrance at Lakefield Cemetery on April 18 th, 2022 at 2pm, followed by a gathering for refreshments and celebration of Irene’s life at 3:30 p.m. 333 Hedonics Rd in the party room.
