Obituary for Lynda Nairn
NAIRN, Lynda
February 16th 1951-March 25th 2022
Passed away peacefully with her friends by her side at St. Joseph's at Fleming at the age of 71. Lynda was the cherished friend of Stan Van Neste, AJ McNaught, and Brenda Neat and family. Sister of Wendy Fallis. Aunt to Jennifer, Sarah, and Ashley. Lynda is predeceased by her mother Dorothea (Hislop) Nairn (1987) and step-father John Nairn (2022).
Lynda cared deeply for all people especially her friends and was a person of faith. She enjoyed others especially liked being a great hostess. Being busy was important so she spent time reading, colouring and collecting stuff animals. She loved and cared about animals especially cats. As a past President of People First - Peterborough (advocacy group for people with disabilities) and past member of Kiwanis Liftlock Aktion Club and in her daily living, she was a strong advocate for the inclusion and rights of people with disabilities. Lynda was a "GEM" and a cherished friend.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph's at Fleming, Community Living Trent Highlands, or the Peterborough Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
