Michael Roger James Lucas
Mike died at PHRC on April 3, 2023, after living actively with cancer for several years.
Son of Kathleen Alberta Lucas and John Garth Lucas. He is survived by his sister Kath and his brothers Johnny, Ted, Joe and Bill.
Mike was a provocateur, storyteller, juggler, serious guitarist and music lover. Although he lived in Peterborough most of his life, he also lived in Sydney Australia, Edmonton, Victoria, Ottawa and Bella Coola. He graduated from Crestwood, Trent University and Fleming College, held a variety of jobs and once ran for mayor of Peterborough.
His last 7-8 years he enjoyed living downtown and biking about, listening to live music and talking with people. Easily recognized by his head of white hair, he was a left-handed Leo, who joked and teased, irritated and listened. Mike lived with curiosity and creativity. He is greatly missed As expressions of sympathy, donations to the One Roof Community Centre would be appreciated.
