Obituary for Phyllis Storey (Storey)
STOREY, Phyllis Margaret (January 7, 1940) of Peterborough passed away peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on April 23, 2023, at the age of 83. Daughter of Stanley Storey and Marion Ellis, sister to the late George Storey. Beloved mother to: Carolanne Nadeau (Richard Lavallee (D)), Jeanne Nadeau (Tom Sanderson), Joseph Nadeau (Sandra), William Nadeau (Adrian Lee), and Michael Nadeau (Kimberly (D)).
Cherished grandmother to: Christopher Nadeau-Lavallee, Vanessa Cook (Drew), Tyler Korpi (Landon), Cameron Korpi (Mary-Kate), Jessica Nadeau (Jason), Meaghan Russett (Andrew), Jack Buttery, Felicia Buttery, Keira Lee, and Brooke Lee.
Great grandmother to: Ella, Tia, Finnick, Lucas, Riley, Raelynn, Austin, Isabelle, Benjamin, George, Cody, Keegan, Kyla, Cyanna, Tatiana, Isaiah, and Tanisha.
Dear Aunt to Susan, Stephen (D), and Scott.
The centre of our mom’s world was her family, her faith, and her pets (Mickey, Ernie, Bob, Kitten, Russy, Joey and Bear). Mom was an avid bowler, she also loved to garden, bake, chat with friends and travel especially to the UK and Myrtle Beach.
We wish to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s at Fleming for their loving care of our mother.
Friends will be received at Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 7-9 pm and on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 10-11 am. Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 11 am. Interment St. Mark’s Anglican Cemetery, Otonabee.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations given in Phyllis Storey's memory to one of the following organizations: Peterborough Humane Society, Alzheimer Society of Peterborough, or Be a Saint for St. Joseph's at Fleming Foundation.
