Peacefully on Thursday September 8, 2022 at Caressant Care in Lindsay at the age of 94. Loving husband of Eleanor for 62 years. Beloved father of Janet and Judy (Dan) Piggott of Lindsay. Ray was especially proud of his two grandchildren Bailey and Ian Piggott. Will be sadly missed by his sister Dora Brebber of Nanaimo, BC along with many nieces and nephews. Ray will be very much missed by in-laws and friends, Elizabeth and Morris Hough of Midland and nieces Lori and Lesley.
Ray was employed by General Electric since his graduation from UBC in 1951. He had the opportunity to travel extensively for work and lived in India and Brazil early in his career. He loved reminiscing with family about his travels. Brazil was his favourite place and his first-born daughter Janet was born there. He spent many years enjoying golf at Kawartha Golf and Country Club.
The family would like to express their appreciation to all the wonderful and dedicated staff at Caressant Care Mary Street in Lindsay for the exceptional care Ray received while he was with them.
A Gathering of Remembrance will be held at Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road on Friday September 16, 2022 from 2 – 4 pm. Online condolences may be left at AshburnhamFuneral.ca
