Obituary for Robert MacKenzie

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert (Bob) Bruce MacKenzie announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, February 28th, at the age of 71.

Bob will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jenna, Meaghan, Shannan (Drew), Kelleyanne (Jon); grandchildren, Scarlett, Kevin, Adeline, Weston, and Nico; siblings Donna, Christina, Roseanne; close friends Maria and John, and numerous other beloved family members and friends.

After a sudden brain injury in 2008, Bob ambitiously persevered through life and forged new paths for himself, never flinching when obstacles presented themselves. His determination was inspiring and his pride and love for his daughters and their children was unwavering.

Bob was a remarkably charismatic and gutsy individual who adored the outdoors. He had a special connection to wildlife and a unique ability with animals.

While no funeral service is currently scheduled, a celebration of life ceremony will take place at a future date in the summer where loved ones can come together in the outdoors. Aligning with his unique character, Bob wishes to be placed inside of a life sized, hand-carved, wooden black bear.
