SHIRLEY VANDENBERG OF NORWOOD, ONTARIO
Passed away peacefully at Pleasant Meadow Manor Nursing Home in her 89th year.
Cremation has already taken place.
Cherished by her late parents Almina Rusaw (Unger) of Coe Hill and Herman Francis Rusaw of Norwood.
Shirley will be missed by her lifelong friend and previous husband Frank Vandenberg.
Shirley Vandenberg a Loving and Devoted Mother; will be dearly missed by her children Denise Mountenay (David), Debra Kelly (Danny), Donna Kelly (Gerald), Shelley Vandenberg (Eric), Ronald Vandenberg (Jackie).
Shirley was the Loving and devoted Nana to Bonnie Mountenay, David Mountenay Jr., Sara Kelly, Jeffrey Kelly, Allan Kelly, Adam Kelly, Alexander Kelly, Justin Vandenberg, Aurora Vandenberg and Faress Vandenberg.
Shirley will be greatly missed by her Great Grandchildren Cooper Kelly, Danilyn Kelly, Hunter Vandenberg, Hadley Kelly, Emmett Kelly and Alice Kelly.
Shirley was predeceased by her siblings – Jean Rusaw, Jim Rusaw, Stewart Rusaw, Lottie Bongard, Marjorie Shoup, Anabelle Reddy and Pete Rusaw; as well her nephews – Armand, Bobby, Danny and Jack Rusaw and her nephews Harry and Sheldon Reddy.
Shirley will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews which she loved.
Shirley’s family wish to invite you to a Celebration of Life at the Millenium Room at the Asphodel Norwood Community Centre on Saturday, March 11th, 2023 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
Special thanks to all of the Staff at Pleasant Meadow Manor for making Shirley feel welcome and loved in her home. A very special thanks to Shari Hamagami, MaryLynne Gallagher and Lisa Nelson for being with her – the family can’t thank you enough for your care and compassion.
