CHAREST, Steven, Allen
Aug 11, 1966 – April 14, 2022
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Steven at home in his 55th year. He passed away after a battle with Colon Cancer. Steven was a Pepere to Jaxson & Cillian, Father to Lloyd, Husband to Anne, Son, Step-Father, Grandson, Nephew, In-law, Cousin, Uncle & Friend. Steven was an only child. Loved the farm in Napanee with Lloyd (Dad). He grew up in Downsview with Jovette (Mom). Spent several summers in New Brunswick with his family (Memere, Aunts/Uncles/Cousins). Lived in Ajax and finally residing in Kawartha Lakes/ Fowlers Corners with his wife. Spent a large part of his career driving transport, out west and internationally. He ended his career at E.G. Gray Transportation.
He had a love and passion for the great outdoors, including gardening, water conservation, Bonsai, landscaping, lighting, food insecurity, ponds and 4-wheeling . After his 4-wheel trauma he became heavily involved with many therapies. To all the service providers that spent so much time with him in the past 2 years we thank you for your time, compassionate care and understanding of his many complexities both physical and psychological. You made an amazing impact in his recovery & healing journey. Thank you to each and every person who did something special with visits, messages, food and time.
He found spiritual guidance with Sadhguru, Mooji, Ram Dass, Bhuda, Dali Lama and Shyama to assist with pain strategies, chanting and meditation to bring him peace, grace and joy.
In keeping with Steven’s wishes there will be no service and cremation has taken place. He invites us to light a candle for 3 days to allow time for his spirit to pass.
