It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Vanessa Melanie Ward. Vanessa passed away at the age of 53 on July 25th, 2023 at her home in Peterborough, Ontario. Forever in the hearts of her children: Chantel, Megan, Bradley, Brandon, and her late daughter, Taylar. She will be missed by her grandchildren: Taylar, Logan, Gemma, and Kindle. Sister of Leigh-Anna and Jason. Aunt of Chad. Vanessa will be remembered and missed by her additional children: Lily, Tyler, Josh, and Cody, as well as her many friends and extended family.

Born September 8th, 1969 in the city of Oshawa, Vanessa was a kind-hearted soul, who did what she could to help those in need. Daughter of the late Barbara and Gerald, Vanessa enjoyed life to its fullest – not even being diabetic or fighting cancer got her down. Her favourite saying in life was ‘I love you to the moon and back’, and she truly loved all her friends and family will all her heart. Her greatest joys were her children and beloved grandchildren.

And so, on August 10th, 2023 at Ashburnham Funeral Home – 840 Armour Road, Peterborough, we will say our final goodbyes. A memorial service will be at 1:00 PM with an hour visitation prior from 12:00 – 1:00 PM.
