THORNTON, William
William (Bill) Thornton passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on March 16th, 2023 in his 93rd year. Survived by his 5 children, Linda Mckee (Dave), Debbie Young (Duncan), Doris Shannon, Cindy Towse, Bill Thornton (Michelle). He also leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
After leaving his job as a crane operator at Dofasco in Hamilton, he purchased a summer resort (Shady Point) in Buckhorn. Later, he spent his time in Peterborough, enjoying his golf games and the outdoors. The family will be celebrating his life at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society or the Peterborough Humane Society would be appreciated.
