Derrick, Trevor and families,

So very sorry to hear of Uncle Gord’s passing. He was such a hard working man and yet so very fun. I will remember and cherish the many times I got to spend with your dad and your mom and all those hearty laughs together. Please know that you are all in my thoughts during this very difficult time. Sending you much love.

Gord, when you came into my life you made it richer, not with money, because life is not all about money, it’s about relationships. I will never forget our years together.
I saw your strength and courage, and your fight for life. I noticed how you always wanted to make life better and not leave anyone behind. And you always left every situation better because you were there.

I have learned that we are not put on this Earth to see through one another, we are put on this Earth to see one another through. And I thank God everyday that we did exactly that for each other.

Each day, each year was a gift for Gord. And he knew it and appreciated every minute of it. We only have now and even it will disappear in a flash.
Gord didn’t die with his music inside him. He always sang when he was around home or when we were in the van traveling, and often made up his own words which always brought a smile to my face. When he’d stop singing, he’d look at me and say, “Now, what do you think of that?”
I already miss you so much that my heart is breaking. The day I stop grieving—is the day I stop breathing.
One day we will see each other again. Rest in Peace Gord. Until we meet again!

Derrick, Trevor and families:
Out hearts are broken with the passing of your Dad. Not only was he our cousin and Uncle, he was our best friend. We have so many wonderful memories , as you have, that will be forever in our hearts and minds. He was such a funny, loving, and sometimes infuriating, playful man, who gave his all! He always made you laugh no matter how bad the circumstances were at the time! There was nothing he would not do for you. There were times that he locked the door when he saw me coming but then , he would go to the ends of the earth to do or get something for you. We are going to miss that awesome smirk, Gordie..(aka George). Sending much love, hugs, and prayers to you all. Sure wish we could be together.

Derrick, Trevor and families: We are so sorry and saddened about the passing of your Dad. He was an amazing uncle and a special friend. Keith and I have so many wonderful memories of your Mom and Dad. It started back to the summer we moved to Ontario. We had so many laughs following them back home and the almost ten years we lived there. Memories we will cherish forever. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Sending lots of love and hugs!! Keith and Brenda Humber Peterview, NL
